Explorers on-line activities

Hello parents and students from Jacint Verdaguer school!

THE LEGEND OF ST. GEORGE

                                            St George's Day

St George (famous for slaying the dragon) is the patron saint of England. He was a Roman soldier who protested against the Roman torture of Christians, and was killed for his beliefs.
He is most famous for the story of his fight against the dragon.

You can play with this jigsaw about St George and the dragon.

Peace Day

Today at Jacint Verdaguer we celebrate the 'Peace Day'. This course we are going to focus on the importance of education in the world. We have talked about the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize: Malala Yousafzai.
As a young girl, Malala demanded that girls must receive an education. She was shot by a Taliban gunman in 2012, but she survived.
